Gold plated silver designer earrings, handmade in London

Fancy a fabulously handmade Christmas this year?

As we approach the holiday period, I thought it was a great occasion to highlight independent makers & designers whose work I admire.
I'm excited to share with you my Handmade Edit: unique or limited edition pieces handmade here in the UK.
I have selected colourful pieces that are beautiful aswell as functional, with pleasing pattern and detailing.
Give the gift of a beautifully made piece that will delight the recipient, and at the same time support an independent maker.

    The Handmade Edit

Discover handmade pieces I love below - mainly accessories and jewellery but also some original art and textiles, all under £200.

Pythagorean blanket in Blush by Tamasyn Gambell, £195
I love the blush tones of this geometric blanket design, woven in Scotland. Tamasyn and I shared a studio at Cockpit Arts for about 4 years when I first moved there in 2009. She is now based in Hackney (East London).
Heather merino wool snood, By Cecil, £59
    Via Handmade in Britain
A pretty accessory for the colder months, I love the pastel and yellow tones of this piece. Handwoven in Bristol.
Mini Strata earrings by Clara Breen, £148
I chose this pair as it features my signature Strata layers, and they have a nice festive feel too.
Tower of London, original screenprint by Kethi Copeland, £165
Kethi's detailed screenprints of London landmarks are so pleasing. I can imagine having this in my home and forever discovering new details every time I look.
Kinnara earrings in Orange by Chalk Jewellery, £90
I have been a fan of Chalk Jewellery ever since Malaika became my neighbour at Cockpit Arts. As an architect she brings a fresh eye to jewellery design - such exciting colour and composition in these earrings.
Helix scarf in Orchard Flower Topaz by Charlotte Grierson, £175
I love the subtle tones and texture of this handwoven scarf - I feel like it would be a perfect everyday companion. Charlotte works in Cockpit Arts Deptford in South East London.
Study of Buttercups by Simon M Smith, £180
    Via The Biscuit Factory
A pretty study which is an original artwork. From The Biscuit Factory, a wonderful art gallery and venue in Newcastle who stock my work in their jewellery collection.
Broadwick fedora hat in petrol by Karen Henriksen, £185
I have this hat and I love wearing it. The detailing and shape are just beautiful, makes me feel very elegant! Karen is my neighbour at Cockpit Arts and we have collaborated on a number of projects.
Harper tote bag by Justin Oh, £70
This minimalist tote bag is so smart, and beautifully finished - I love the khaki colour, goes with everything.
Long graduating circle earrings in teal by Emily Kidson, £175
Emily and I go a long way back since our University days in Brighton. I'm a big fan of her work and I especially love this graduating earring design in shades of teal.
I love a miniature bag that doesn't weigh you down, and the detailing in this piece is just lovely. Made in Sussex.

Bilbao Earrings by Clara Breen, £155

I couldn't resist including these, my favourite new hoop earrings in fine and sterling silver. I wear mine every day! Made in London.
