18ct gold, diamonds and rubies ‘Cloud’ necklace18ct gold, diamonds and rubies ‘Strata’ ring
A the beginning of this year I completed a lovely ring and necklace set in 18ct gold for my client Sophie, with the aim to use rubies, which were family heirlooms. She liked the Strata and Cloud designs – we worked together on getting the rubies and diamonds placed in the designs in a way that would be fun and asymmetric – See images in progress below.
Sophie wrote of the commissioning process: “I’m delighted with the ring and pendant and I’m loving wearing them. I also really enjoyed the design process and seeing the final pieces develop. Clara was really responsive to my ideas, and I felt very involved every step of the way. I was excited about Clara’s designs and her suggestions were sensitive to making sure my grandmother’s rubies were showcased in the best way possible.”
It was a pleasure to be a part of this special project for Sophie.
